4 Things you MUST do While Waiting on Yah to Answer Your Prayers

At the end of every month, we take time to pause and reflect on the past weeks. On our prayer call, it is our time to share praise reports on how our prayers were answered.

However, it is also a time to reflect on the prayer requests that you are still waiting to be answered, which can be tough when you feel like Yah is slow to respond to your need. We must remember that Yah, the sovereign creator of heaven and earth, and the sustainer of our lives is not our genie.

Isaiah 55 reminds us that Yah’s thoughts are not our thoughts; neither are our ways His ways. In other words, He will answer our prayers in His way and His perfect timing.

So what do we do while we wait for answers to our prayers?

There are a total of 6 things that we must do while we wait — two things that we must not do and four things that we must do.

Let’s start with what we must NOT do.

  1. Do not WHINE. In other words, watch your words and do not complain. If you believe in Yah’s power to do anything but fail, then speak like it no matter what you are facing.
  2. Do not WORRY. You cannot effectively pray about something and then turn around and worry about it. Believe that Yah’s got you.

Okay, now that you know what NOT to do, let’s talk about the following four things you must do:

Stay in the WORD every day. We want our prayers answered, but we aren’t reading the Scriptures. Understand that Yah speaks through His Word. If we aren’t reading it, we will miss our answers.

Be a WITNESS to His faithfulness. No matter what is going on in our lives, Yah has not fallen off of His throne. He is faithful through it all.

Continue to WORK. Be faithful in your service at home, at work, in your community, because your breakthrough is coming.

  1. Always WORSHIP. Even when you find yourself at rock bottom and ready to give up praise Yah for His provisions. Praise Him for His promises and His faithful presence in your life.
  1. If you focus on these 4 W’s, you will receive your blessings while you wait. But when you find yourself whining or worrying about your circumstances, remember Numbers 23:19, “God is not a man, so He does not lie. He is not human, so He does not change His mind. Has He ever spoken and failed to act? Has He ever promised and not carried it through?” You know the answer is no, so there is no need to whine or worry. Yah’s got you!
