The truth for you about Kobe Bryant’s death

Our hearts are heavy for all of the people devastated by the untimely death of Kobe Bryant, his daughter, Gianna, John Altobelli, his wife, Keri and daughter Alyssa, and the other victims whose names have not been released. Their deaths have left a void in the hearts of many.

This tragic event speaks to how precious life is and how we have to cherish the moments with the people that we love dearly. It is a reminder that every moment counts.

It also stresses, for me, to live life in a way to receive the reward of hearing, “Well done thy good and faithful servant”(Matthew25:21). I do not know Kobe’s relationship with the Most High, but I hope that he and the rest of the people who lost their lives, lived a life in a way that they too will hear those words.

The truth about Kobe’s death is that you must turn your attention to your life. How are you living? How is your relationship with the Most High? Will you hear those words? Take this moment to pause, ponder, and pray about your life. It is of utmost importance for you to not get distracted but to hone in and examine your life, not Kobe’s.

As you examine your life, be willing to do whatever it takes to make sure that you will hear, “Well done thy good and faithful servant, well done!”

We all know the sting of death and the grief that follows. But praise is to the Most High that He comforts us through it all!!
